1. I am very energetic. I enjoy helping people especially with genealogy or computer technology if I know how. I am a story teller, I have stories about just about everything. I am more of a hands on person, meaning I am a doer not an assigner of tasks.
2. I need to assign more tasks to my staff. I was already working on the outside appearance of the library before I left and I need to get that finished when I get back. I had already starting dressing better and fixing my hair before I left and I am going to continue to do so and even try to improve on that. I am going to be a more active listener to my patrons and staff. I am going to more staff meetings with an agenda, as opposed to having random meetings. I also need to have more confidence in myself.
Interview:
Bambi
When I think of the name Bambi, I think of the cute little cartoon deer. I feel the Bambi I met has deer like qualities.
Bambi was married at the age of 18 right out of high school. She will have been married for 17 years on the 10th of this month.(August) (loyalty)
Bambi is a mothering, nurturing type of person. She has 4 children, 2 girls and 2 boys. Her daughters are 20 and 7 and her sons are 16 and 8. The oldest son just turned 16 on the 6th of this month. (August) Her youngest daughter is adopted. The child belonged to her sister. Bambi's sister passed away after a years hospitalization and the child had lived with her during this time. So she and her husband adopted her. Bambi likes to have family nights with the children. She likes to play board games and video games with them. Her favorite video game is Mario. She also likes to watch cartoons with the children. Her favorite cartoon is Loony Toons. (Motherly)
Bambi stated that she is a Country Bumpkin. She likes grits, biscuits and gravy, but she would never eat a raccoon. She said she made a meat loaf one night that tasted so good her husband bought her a new Ford F150 truck. She had always wanted one. (Country)
Bambi doesn't like coffee, but she is addicted to this new coffee delight that comes in a carton in the refrigerated aisle. You shake it up and pour it over ice. The weirdest thing she's ever ate was a fried cheddar cheese larvae. It tasted like a popcorn hull with powered cheese on it. (Earthy)
Bambi has blond natural curly hair. She has a tattoo that she wishes she didn't have and wants to have removed. She woke up one morning at the age of 19 and just decided she would get one. The reason she doesn't like it is because it really has no meaning to her. It has no significance in her life. Her mother just got a tattoo with the name of her sister and the birth and death date on it. This has a significance to her and her mother. (Sentimental)
Bambi's favorite color is pink. One day her little boy told her that pink was his favorite color too. She asked him why and he said because it stands for breast cancer awareness. He went on to say but that didn't mean he wanted the things in his room colored pink.
She likes animals, but from a distance. She has a fear of most animals. So she has no pets. (Timid)
Bambi works at a Library in the Ocee River Region. The most important thing I learned about Bambi is that she has grand mal seizures. She has a scare on her head from when she had a seizure and fell in the bathroom. She had to have 6 staples put in her head. Her little boy was concerned about who was going to look out for her while she was away this week.
I assured I would check on her.
When I read what Bambi wrote, it was funny and sweet. When I got home my daughter wanted to know which picture was Bambi. I told her to guess and to think about a deer. She picked out the right one the first time.
Oh my gosh Glenda!! You are kidding me?! That is neat that your daughter did that. And I wanted to tell you that I loved the report you wrote about me. You are so sweet. I am glad you were picked for me to interview. I have printed it off so that I can share it with my family. Hope you have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteYour friend,
Bambi
You did a great job on the biography of Bambi, personable and at the same time very entertaining. Your analysis of the day was also great.
